Okay folks, here's the scoop. On the 17th of January, Matt was in a business meeting up in Salt Lake where he was informed that VLCM (the company Matt has worked for since April 2009) was wanting to expand to Denver, Colorado and to Las Vegas, Nevada. Feeling a little stuck in a dead-end position, Matt jumped at the chance for this new opportunity and told his boss that if he didn't have any one else in mind for this position, Matt would like to head up the Denver expansion, (not really wanting to have to deal with Nevada summers).
Here we are, a month later and all we really know is that we'll probably be moving to Denver this year. Most likely, it'll be at the end of July or beginning of August so we can get the kids situated for school; can you believe that three of our children will be in school this year? I can't.
Anyway, that is the scoop. We're looking for homes to rent and would prefer to live in south Denver; Centennial, Parker, Littleton, and Highlands Ranch being the most appealing. We'll also be renting out our house here as we bought before the housing market bottomed out. Ugh.

ReplyDeleteOh sad! We don't want one of our favorite neighbors to move! But I think I know the feeling Matt has of wanting to get some change/challenge in his job! good luck to you guys!
ReplyDeleteIt is still all up in the air, and not official yet, but it's a good possibility. It's been very sad and difficult to think about leaving. The experience so far has been bittersweet.
ReplyDeleteI am from Colorado and love Centennial (that's where I grew up, but it was called Englewood). Although I am terribly bummed to lose the best photographer EVER, I am super excited for your opportunity!
